The new rates of tickets will soon be implemented, said a spokesman of the Wildlife & Parks Department on Saturday. The new rates were approved during a meeting of the Management Committee of Lahore Safari Zoo with Director General of Department Khalid Ayyaz Khan in the chair.
The spokesman said that the management committee has also decided to enhance the entry ticket for motorcycle/rickshaw to Rs 40 from Rs 20, car/jeep will be charged at Rs 100 per vehicle, mini bus/coaster will be charged Rs 250 and bus will be charged Rs 300 under the new tariff. All the members of the committee unanimously approved the price enhancement terming it as the need of the hour. The committee also approved to give festival grant to those employees who perform their duties on their off-days or during gazette holidays. It was decided that a summary should be moved to the finance department for its final approval. The meeting also discussed a proposal of increasing the timings for play land and food court till 9:00 pm and providing foolproof security to the visitors.
